Be a Difference Maker (Serger Sew Along)
Virtual Event
TSC is excited to participate in Baby Lock's newest Serger Event, Be a Difference Maker. The purpose of Be a Difference Maker is to give back to the community through the love of sewing. Children entering the foster care system often need something to carry their belongings in. We are asking you to help these children through donating a Drawstring Serger Bag. There is no limit on how many bags you can donate, how many you make is totally up to you.
We will be hosting a Facebook Live Sew Along to make a Drawstring bag, and show off some serger techniques that you might not have seen or done before. To participate in the Live class you will need to join Sew Along with Thomas Sewing Center on Facebook, if you haven't already done so. If you can't make the live class, don't worry, once the class is over the video will remain on Facebook indefinitely.
You don't have to wait for the live class to make a bag. When you register, you will receive the PDF instructions for the bag to your email (so make sure you give us a good email for you). If you don't receive the instructions within two days, give us a call.
How to Donate
Once you have your bag/s made, all you need to do is simply drop off your bag to your Thomas Sewing Center location in either Greenup or Lexington. We will take care of delivering the bags to the Foster Care Agency. Look at the end of the class description for the names of the agencies.
