Stacked Bowls Applique Class

The colors, shapes, and composition of this small quilt by Quiltachusettes caught my eye and inspired me!  It will look great in my kitchen, and yours.

I will teach raw edge appliqué technique; we will discuss colors and composition, and options for either free motion or walking foot quilting.  I hope you are inspired to join us on Saturday June 12 from 1-3:00.  Limited class size.  Masks please.

 Finished size is about 22 x 36”.


¾ yard background fabric

1/8 yard for accent strip

7 scraps for bowls (largest is about 8 x 15”, the smallest about 7 x 7”)

¾ yard of fusible web (Heat and Bond light or SteamASeam lite)

1 yard of backing and binding

Batting piece at least 24 x 36 (I used Dream poly/cotton Blend)

#2 curved basting pins

Chalk marker, fabric marker, or Frixion pen

Assorted threads that match your bowls and background for appliqué and quilting

24 ½” ruler, rotary cutter, scissor for paper and fabric

Free motion quilting foot and/or walking foot for your machine.
