Take a Seat: The Art of Tuffet- Making - GREENUP

In this class you will be instructed to complete a tuffet using the provided pattern and template. You will need to bring your own fabric (cutting instructions have been provided) and sewing machine.
The version we will be doing in this class does not have the wave stitch for seams as seen in the photo. It will have standard 1/4" seams completed with a sewing machine.
You will need to bring to class:
Sewing Machine with Standard, 1/4" or Open Toe Foot -
OR Serger (wave stitch is optional with Decorative Thread) -
Stapler with 3/8 "or 1/4" staples (If you do not have one, we will have one available for use) -
16 strips of fabric (your choice) 5" x 20" for tuffet top -
1 piece of fabric for button cover 5" x 5" -
4 Feet for the bottom of the tuffet of your choice. Please note you may also need top plates for certain feet to screw into. We will discuss this in class and these can be added following the class. You can find these on amazon.com or at your Local Lowes or Home Depot. -
Basic sewing supplies: Seam Ripper, Pins or Clips, Personal Cutting Mat if you wish to cut at your own table, Marking Utensil of your choice, Scissors or Rotary Cutter of your Choice
TSC will provide the foam cushion, batting, wood panel for base and written pattern
