Child's Sundress - LEXINGTON
In this class we will:
- Construct a child's sundress from lightweight cotton fabric of your choice
- Sew and under stitch a curve
- Make straps & attach
- Add a gathered skirt to a flat bodice
- Create casings & insert elastic in a garment
Supplies needed:
- Sewing machine in good working order, with foot & electric cord
- 1.25 yards of quilters cotton
- 1/4 yard of lining (you may use the same fabric as the dress)
- Thread to match
- Frixion Pen
- Edgestitching foot (optional)
- 3/4 yard of elastic
- Basic sewing supplies (seam ripper, scissors, marking tool, seam gauge, tape measure, pins)
Will provide a new needle & chopsticks
Please pre-wash your fabric & cut the skirt of the dress & rectangle for the bodice before arriving to class. Directions to be provided after registration.
