- Machine embroidered appliquéd letters, set on a cobweb quilted background, are accented with flying 3-D bats and spooky eyes.

This is a "BRING YOUR OWN FABRIC KIT CLASS" You will need to bring with you:
Fabric preparation prior to construction:
1/3 yard fabric for the background (behind the lettering) and backing, cut to: ? Three - 5" x 9" background rectangles ? Six - 5" x 5” backing squares, press under ½” on one side of three of the rectangles.
1 fat eighth fabric for the bats, cut to: ? Two 4" x 6" rectangles, spray with starch, press until dry and then fuse fusible web to the reverse side of one rectangle. Remove the protective paper and fuse the two 4" x 6" rectangles back to back. Note: the fabric requires a firmer hand to look nice as 3 dimensional bats, fusing the layers back to back provides the necessary body. Another option would be to fuse sparkle organza to the right side of the fabric to provide a gossamer appearance to the wings.
¼ yard fabric for the appliquéd BOO lettering, cut to: ? One 7" x 15" rectangle, spray with starch, press until dry and then fuse fusible web to the reverse side, leave the protective paper on until later. Note: if your fabric choice is a light color I recommend backing it with a light weight fusible interfacing prior to attaching the fusible web, in this manner a dark background won’t muddy the appearance of the lettering. / Fusible fleece (Tp971F Thermolam Plus recommended), cut to: 1 ? Six 4 8” x 7½” rectangle
