One Block Wonder Quilt- GREENUP
This workshop will teach the process of making a One Block Wonder quilt using Studio 180 Design’s Star 60™ tool. You will learn how to layer, cut, and transform your fabric or fabric panels into beautiful kaleidoscopes. We will explore design layout, how to blow-out your design into your borders. Plus, you will learn how to make and incorporate hollow cubes into your design for added interest.
One Block Wonders are fascinating and fun to make! So, this is one you won’t want to miss!
Lunch is not provided, but you are welcome to pack a lunch and store it in our cooler or you will be dismissed around lunchtime if you'd like to pick something up.

Required Tools:
- Studio 180 Design Star 60 Tool
- Hollow Cube Technique Sheet
(Both Available for purchase during class.)
Fabric Requirements:
- 1/4 yard each of coordinating light, medium and dark fabrics (bring extra for practice.)
Basic Sewing Supplies:
- Sewing Machine with Power Cord
- Thread and Bobbins
- Machine Needles
- Flathead pins (LOTS OF THEM)
- Snips or Trimming Scissors
- Seam Ripper
- Rotary Cutter with a sharp blade
- Marking Pencil
- Med- Large Cutting Mat (TSC will also have cutting areas available
- Straight Edge Ruler 6"x12"
- Invisigrip (recommended/ available for purchase from TSC)

Friday:

? Aligning, cutting, and organizing your fabrics
? How to construct your kaleidoscopes
? Arranging and choosing a layout design for our One Block Wonder
Saturday:
? Learn to make a hollow cube.
? Incorporating hollow cubes into your One block wonder
? Blowing out your design into your borders
? Clean up and wrap-up.
Class Policies
We ask that all attendees be respectful towards the instructor, staff, and fellow students. Sewing is fun, and we hope to create an environment where everyone can enjoy themselves and their craft!
- Unless otherwise noted, classes are open to anyone age 14 and up. Ages 10 through 13 welcome as a student if a parent or guardian is also attending the class.
- Regretfully, out of respect to our instructors and their schedules, class fees cannot be refunded or credited unless we are given greater than 48 hours notice. If you are unable to attend class, but there is an associated kit, please contact the store to arrange pickup.
- Most classes require the use of your own machine, unless otherwise noted. Please refer to each individual class description for more information on class requirements. Machines may be available to rent for the class, please ask the staff at TSC about machine rental.
