Sew With Toni- GREENUP
Here at Thomas Sewing Center our goal is to support our local community as much as possible. With that in mind, we will be beginning 2025 with a new project in mind. We will be gathering monthly on the first Wednesday to sew together in an effort to create beautiful "wheelchair quilts" to gift to local nursing home residents. Everyone is welcome, and any skill level sewist is encouraged to come. Simply bring your fabrics, notions and accessories of choice with your sewing machine and join in on this fabulous outreach.
Thomas Sewing Center will provide patterns that will be simple to construct and complete. Bring a friend, work together, and join us to spread some love in 2025.
As we will have sewists at every skill level as well as educators and technicians available, we invite ANYONE interested in sewing to join in. This will be a great time to ask questions, get tips and tricks from seasoned sewing fanatics. Here is a list of things you may want to bring:
Sewing Machine with Power Cord, Accessory Feet and Extension Table if you have one.
Coordinating Yardage of Fabric, or scraps if you'd like to create a scrappy quilt.
Thread and Bobbins
Scissors, snips, rotary cutter
small cutting mat (we have a cutting station available)
small pressing mat ( we will have iron and ironing boards available)
seam ripper
