Quilt Making 101 - Lexington, KY
Lin Whitley will teach you the proper techniques to begin your quilting experience. You'll learn how to use a rotary cutter, cutting rulers, how to keep a correct seam allowance, proper pressing technique, pinning, etc. When you're finished you'll have a pieced table runner!
A kit with fabric will be provided for the top. This does not include batting or backing****
Please bring the following:
- 1 Spool of COTTON thread, neutral color.
- 1 Box of Sewing/Quilting Pins
- Sewing Machine. We have a couple of machines that can be used, but the class will be most beneficial if you can bring your own.
If you have a rotary cutter and mat, feel free to bring them. We will have a communal cutting space set up for those who do not have their own.
