Reading Pillow Class - Lexington
This is a fun and enjoyable sewing project for all ages. You will be making a reading pillow that will have a pocket on the outside to help carry your favorite book.
You Will Need:
Sewing machine & needles
Rotary cutter
Acrylic ruler
Self-healing cutting mat
Straight pins
Iron and Mat
Fabric:
1/2-yard of Main Front
1/2-yard Batting
1/2-yard Front Solid Back
1/2-yard Back Envelope Fabric
1/2-yard Outer Front Pocket
1/2-yard Inner Front Pocket
Thread in a coordinating color
Fabric Requirements & Cutting Instructions:
Note: If you are planning on doing medium to heavy quilting it is best to size the 14.5 up to 16.5 as the fabric will naturally tend to shrink as you quilt.
14.5" x 14.5" (main front)
14.5" x 9.5" (outer front pocket)
14.5" x 12" (back envelope right)
14.5" x 12” (back envelope left)
14.5" x 10" (inner front pocket)
14" x 20" (Front Solid Back)
17.5" x 17.5" (Batting)
6.5" x 10.5" (handle)
